Welcome on second part of my article about gaming laptops computers! All about them!
RAM
It's generally agreed that you need at least 2 GB MB for Windows Vista and Mac OS X. DDR2 SDRAM - is a new standard that can boost conventional SDRAM memory up to speeds well over 200MHz and beyond. In my opinion you need around 4 GB of Ram memory to play. I got 4 GB in my laptop and I think its alright for now. It is somewhat different from ordinary RAM because it can be accessed by two different devices at once - enabling screen updates while the video processor processes new data. Even if you are on a tight budget, you have the right to use technology! One option for buying an inexpensive laptop for gaming is to purchase it from a power user or gamer. Buying from such users puts you in a win-win situation as you can get the best product for you. I think one of the biggest problem is to buy good laptop for games because these machines are very expensive. Of course in my opinion these laptops are cheaper then few years ago but still are very expensive.
SPEED
You need the fastest computer money can buy. In order to get the maximum performance from your superb gaming computer you must have the fastest processor speed you can get or afford. Your superb computer must be able to process and handle the latest 3D video games with ease. There is nothing as annoying as your laptop freezing up in the middle of some major gaming action. Yeah I'm a gamer and I know something about that. While they crave for latest technology and sell off their laptops within a year or 2, you acquire a not-so-old laptop for gaming that caters to your needs. An economical option to buying a new machine, is purchasing a refurbished one – it's always better then have nothing. If you are playing in shooting game, one small lag or freeze and you are dead. Well if you are playing in multiplayer game with turn based gameplay, you should have any problems with that but every action game = fail.
SATA
SATA is a type of hard drive and stands for Serial Advanced Technology Architecture. It was developed by a big group of companies including Seagate, Intel, Dell and others. SATA transmit data in a serially as opposed to PATA or Parallel ATA which is commonly referred to as an IDE hard drive. The higher the clock speed, the faster the computer will process applications and data. It determines how powerful your laptop computer will be, you should know that processor speeds for laptops or laptops are steadily increasing, not quite the same as a desktop but the gap is narrowing quickly. Speeds of 3.4GHz or more. If you are looking for great laptop you should buy one with huuuuuuge hard disc drive you know, for more games or movies!
Serial ATA hard drives uses less power and are ideal for laptop computers, they are also more advanced than PATA hard drives which uses multiple streams of data.
That's all for now about gaming laptop, I hope after reading my short articles you will be smarter before you buy any laptop for gaming :)
